Christian Danawicz  

CHRISTIAN Danowicz (Arg/fra), VIOLIN

Born in Buenos Aires and raised in France. Studied at the Conservatory in Toulouse and at F. Chopin University af Music in Warszawa. Prizewinner in international competitions and since 2010 Concertmaster at the Leopoldinum Chamber Orchestra in Wroclaw 
  Jakob Kullberg  

jakob kullberg (DK), CELLO

Praised internationally for his performances of the modern cello concerto, Jakob Kullberg, is one of the most etablished and diverse Danish instrumentalists. Top prize winner at international solo and chamber music competitions, twice winner of the Danish Grammy, most recently in 2013 for his concerto CD 'Momentum' which was nominated for the Gramophone Award. Jakob is halfway through a large-scale recording project with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra with whom he will release five concertos on two CDs. in addition he will record concertos with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and Sinfonia Varsovia. Jakob enjoys a unique relationship with the Danish composer Per Nørgård, who has composed and dedicated numerous works for him. Professor of Cello at the Royal College of Music, London and Associate Professor and Head of Strings at the University of Stavanger, Norway. For a decade taught at the Royal danish Academy of Music.
Niklas Walentin  

Niklas walentin (Dk), Violin

Niklas will be coming for a short visit to play a concert Monday evening and give a masterclass Tuesday. Niklas is a talented young violinist embarking on a promising career, he already tours around the world and has won 2nd price in the Carl Nielsen International Violin Competition. He has been a part of Danish Strings since the age of 6 and we have invited him to give you an extra treat in this our 20th jubilee season.
